– Interrelationship between Kisspeptins and GABA in the physiology of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis and in metabolic control. Participation of GABAB receptors. Evaluation in mice with specific deletion of the GABAB1 subunit in kisspeptin-expressing cells.

– Immunomodulatory oligodeoxynucleotides as novel therapeutic agents for diabetes. Studies in models of type I and type II diabetes: actions on the immune system, metabolism and the islet of Langerhans beta cell physiology.

– Effects of exposure to endocrine disruptors on: regulation of the reproductive axis; regulation of metabolism at the central and peripheral levels; the physiology of the hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid axis; the processes of inflammation and autophagy in the central nervous system, pituitary gland and pancreas.
